luxe for less: tolix stools

The hubs and I roll with a fabulous group of friends that gets together pretty much every weekend, so a fair share of hosting is done at our home.  Despite the large, open family room and eating area in our new house, though, everyone still loves to congregate in the kitchen. Normally, I couldn’t care less, but the lack of counter stools means everyone is all up in my grill while I’m trying to cook.  If only I could decide which ones I love, right?  Well, here it is, almost a year after moving in and I have fallen in love with these Tolix stools from Sundance-the perfect mix of rustic, industrial and modern…

The only down side is that these bad boys are a whopping $245 a pop, which happens to be way out of my price range.   Lucky for me, Overstock carries some that are pretty much identical.  And the best part is that they cost $90 for a set of TWO!  I can get the four I need for less than one of the Tolix stools.  Look how similar:
