a bath fit for a queen

Bathrooms are very personal spaces and can be tricky to design with both male and female interests in mind.  This has been especially true lately as I've been working on a master bath for another wonderful couple who is in the midst of building a new home.  She has impeccable taste and leans toward a more feminine aesthetic, while the hubby is about as manly as they come, so balancing the two has been a top priority. I think what we've come up with is the perfect compromise:

The Mrs. gets her dose of glamour with the chrome and crystal chandelier and Carrera marble subway tile and the Mister gets more classic, masculine elements like the Brazilian black slate floor, chrome vanity lights and river rock shower floor.  The amazing shower head echos the shape of the chandelier and lends a modern edge to the space.  We're going to find curvy mirrors similar to the ones featured above (which are actually a DIY job from here) and I'm going to give them the "zinc" paint treatment I posted about Thursday.  Stay tuned for pictures once construction is complete!
