for the love of a house

I first stumbled upon the blog, For the Love of a House, when Joan’s (the author) kitchen was featured all over blogland a few months back.  It’s not hard to see why pictures of this space spread like wildfire all over the internet-it is simply stunning.  Joan and her hubby continued gutting their 1850’s farmhouse in New Hampshire and restoring it to all it’s gorgeous glory, including their master bathroom, pictures of which she posted today on her blog:

The rustic hardwood floors, bead board ceiling, vintage chandelier and wood beams compliment each other perfectly.  The mahogany buffet-turned-vanity was a $75 flea market find that suits the space beautifully.

The first thing I noticed was the sheer size of the bathroom…it’s big enough to comfortably house a sitting area…

Love the tub…

Great attention to detail…

Way to go, Joan!  To see more of her beautiful home, click here.
