faux sure
Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 08:10AM One Kings Lane killed me this weekend. Totally killed me. There were so many amazing finds I needed (okay, wanted), but with all the work going on at our house, I just couldn't justify a shopping spree. I didn't walk away completely empty-handed, though...I scored this fabulous glass Tortoise shell ice bucket for $25:

It's now sold out, but this one from Overstock is a close match and the same price-it would make an amazing gift for that special someone who loves to entertain (I don't think the crappy picture does it justice):

Faux tortoise shell is not something I see often, so I got to digging and discovered some amazing finds. When Michelle Adams new digs were featured in the April/May issue of Lonny, I couldn't take my eyes off the tortoise shell lamp on her buffet:

Get a similar look with Robert Abbey's stunning wavy tortoise shell lamp:

This serveware set by Ralph Lauren is just as chic for every day use as it is for elegant dinner parties:

From the same collection, these salt and pepper shakers and cheeseboard are equally beautiful:

I love this set of six glasses from World Market:

I'd love to add this gorgeous chronograph watch from Michael Kors to my wardrobe:

Can't find tortoise shell furniture? Make your own! Jenny from Little Green Notebook blew me away when she refinished an old table and gave the top a tortoise finish. See her tutorial here.

This cuff is the perfect summer accessory:

What are some of your favorite faux finds?
