glass bottle display

On my way to buy a new orbital sander yesterday, a sign for a hole-in-the-wall antiques/consignment shop I had never seen before caught my eye so I decided to pop in and see what was in store.  While there were definitely lovely finds – an antique secretary and a humungous aged brass chandelier among them – what caught my eye was a little side table filled with crusty, old liquor bottles.  With no idea what I was going to do with them, I scooped them up, paid my $5, and moved on.  A quick scrub with bleach and hot water and they look beautiful:

For now, they’re sitting on my bookshelves…

…until I can find more to fill a tray like this one via Martha Stewart:

My ferns survived the mild winter in the garage- a few fronds in each like this gorgeous display, via BHG would make a beautiful centerpiece:

This collection of amber, blue, green and clear bottles via Design Sponge looks so fresh against white paneling:

Green bottles add a pop of color and so much character to this neutral dining room via Coastal Living:

Love this beautiful purple collection:

Another great collection,via Rue Magazine:

I hope you’re all having a great week!
