Paint is the quickest, easiest and least expensive way to make a dramatic change in a room, but sometimes, using color on the most unexpected details can make the most impact in a space.  Painting your trim and molding a contrasting color to your walls is a great example-who says it has to be white for a clean, crisp look?  I love tone on tone color in a room, but using the softer color on the walls and a few shades darker on trim puts that rule to rest and can really make a room pop.  The Hampton's haven of PR exec Scott Currie is a fabulous example of how painted trim, just a few shades darker than the walls, can help bring a room together and really turn up the cozy factor:
