beating the heat
The one caveat of leaving the beach and moving two and a half hours further inland was that I would get an in-ground pool. When you’re used to making the ten minute trek to the beach every day after work and digging your toes in the sand each and every weekend, you need some way to beat the heat of summers in the South! Mine happens to come in the form of an 18×36 foot rectangle in my backyard:
