Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 09:43AM When I was little, my grandfather had the most amazing garden, with what seemed like every veggie you've ever heard of. The only thing that rivaled its beauty were the many different vareties of boxwoods he planted around his house-sculpted hedges that bordered perennial gardens, clusters of different sizes in old and crusty terra cotta pots and even a few carefully snipped topiaries here and there. It was breathtaking. People would walk by and admire, some saying they never even noticed the house before. Whenever I think of classic gardens, I think of my grandfather's and his boxwoods. They are a timeless addition to any garden and landscaping. Here are a few of my favorite spaces that are made that much more amazing, thanks to the addition of a few boxwoods here and there:
