rattan dining chairs + a great find!

World Market has, surprisingly, been knocking it out of the park lately! I’ve had my eye on these rattan dining chairs since I first saw them last year.  I love the shape and the high backs, and the darker tone and texture would look beautiful against a distressed wood table.  They retail for $159 per chair, which isn’t too bad, but I was beyond thrilled to see them on sale for HALF OFF right now!

It would be super simple to beef up the cushion padding and definitely recover them in a fabulous fabric!  And just in case you think these style chairs only work in coastal decor, here are a few examples, from a mountain home to desert and traditional decor, and they look equally amazing in each one!

What a great use of space in the dining room photo with the woman in the blue dress. What could be an awkward long and narrow room was perfectly matched with long furnishings like the french country sideboard. It is narrow enough to fit the space, but still very functional with plenty of space to pull out a chair or walk around the table. Well done!
