apples + oats photography

There are a million different interior design and decor trends that come and go but one thing I will never tire of is oversize equestrian photographic prints.  I have long been obsessed with the strength, spirit and haunting grace of these creatures and the beauty and freedom they represent (even if it wasn’t until the last few years that I’d even SAT on one!)  The oversize scale of these images make such a dramatic impact in any style decor, but, unfortunately, most come with a hefty price tag that is beyond most of our budgets.  Until now.  Jennifer Meyer of Apples and Oats Photography is a favorite of mine for horse photography – her use of contrast of light and dark in her images of these magical creatures is both emotional and serene.  Not only is her work absolutely amazing, but she prints each of her images up to 30×45 inches and is SUPER affordable!  I just purchased this image for my foyer and am giddy with anticipation of its arrival!

Each one of her images are so stunning, it was hard to pick just a few for my post, but here are some of my favorites from her gallery:

To see more of Jennifer’s work, check out her gallery and to purchase her prints, visit her Etsy site!

Happy Monday!

ooooh. I am a sucker for the horse…anything! Just put up a carved wood horse head….see it on my most recent post. I have a 48 inch black and white horse image hanging in the library. How big is the piece you are getting? Her work looks gorgeous. Bookmarking it!
