get the look: an oldie but goodie

There are some interiors that are just so good, so timeless, so perfectly executed, that whenever you come across them, whether by flipping through old magazines or browsing Pinterest, you just have to stop to admire all over again all the things that made you love the space in the first place.  For me, this living room, designed by Nate Berkus Design duo Lauren Gold and Sasha Adler, is one of these design gems that will forever be etched in the corner of my mind (and all over my Pinterest page!)  I know you’ve all seen the pictures before, but I thought it was worth revisiting again for a little eye candy this morning.

There is so much to love about this space – the mix of high end and elegant pieces like the French gilt mirror, limestone mantle and tufted Chesterfield sofa with more casual items like a bold black and white dhurrie rug, seagrass daybed and linen throw pillows.  Brass accents and gorgeous pops of emerald green turn the glam factor up a notch.  It’s chic and laid back, warm and inviting all at once, making it one of my all-time favorite living spaces:

Here are my picks for creating a similar look:

tufted sofa / Frenc gilt mirror / seagrass tray / coral / linen pillow / black and white striped rug

brass sconce / seagrass daybed
