get the look: easy, breezy in the hamptons

I’ve been all over with this blog lately; one day I’m posting summer stripes and the next, I’m pining for a weekend getaway in Aspen.  Well, I’m about to flip it up again because over the weekend, as I was making my way through a ginormous pile of magazines to get rid of, I stumbled across this little gem of a beach house in the Hamptons by designer Jenny Wolf.  Maybe it’s all the cold, rainy weather that’s got me thinking of the beach or maybe it’s just my obsession with the Hamptons, but I wanted to find more pics of this dreamy little cottage.  It’s right up there on my dream house files – small and cozy, with a simple color palette, lots of texture and charm oozing right out of those lovely white painted planked walls! A mix of metals and pops of aqua and gray are so soft and welcoming!

Cedar shakes, crisp white trim, Nikko blue hydrangeas, boxwoods and a front door painted the most perfect shade of pale aqua are quintessential Hamptons style.  Making a good first impression to your home starts outside and everything about this exterior is sheer perfection:

Love this simple little vignette in the entryway:

How charming is this kitchen?  The pale aqua bistro chairs are the perfect pop of subtle color:

A Saarinen table, paired with metal Tolix chairs, a jute rug and an exposed brick wall are such a great mix of texture in the breakfast nook:

Neutral, oversize furnishings in the living room are simple and cozy and a nice contrast to the lovely reclaimed wood ceiling”

Painted number stairs are so perfect for a beach house:

That bed!

I am so smitten with this all-white girl’s room; love the pops of fuschia and red and the pom detail on the teepee is just perfection:

A to-die-for backyard:

Here are my picks for getting the look:
