Happy Hump Day!  Last night, I finally got a chance to flip through the stack of magazines that have been sitting next to my bed for the last week or so.  My jaw literally hit the floor when I saw the New York cottage built from a salvaged ship in Country Living...have you seen it?  The home, which was built in 1748 from a ship's bowed hull, is now owned by two antiques dealers who have restored and decorated it with furniture and antiques from their shop, English Country Antiques, that would make the original Sea Captain owners proud. 

Removing plaster from some of the rafters now allows sun from skylights to brighten the whitewashed living room below:

Slipcovered sofas, painted furniture and sea-themed accessories like 19th-century art student lanscapes add a charming nautical touch:

If you've been following me on Pinterest, you know I LOVE shingle style homes, so I had to include a few shots of the outside, too!  I love how the owners hung vintage pails and watering cans above an old potting table...and nothing is more suitable planted outside of a shingle-style home than hostas and hydrangeas!
